Have a food allergy? No need to worry. Most (if not all) can be accommodated. I am gluten-free (and have been for over 7 years now). With a little asking and knowing who to speak with, my allergy was very well accommodated in Italy. The same can be true with dairy, nuts, etc. Translation cards are a great way to inform the restaurant staff of your allergy(s) in Italian.

Disclaimer: If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, there are extra precautions you will need to take. Know that like any establishment you dine at where you live, you are your best advocate. Ask questions, look for specific answers. f you don't feel comfortable or not feeling it, opt for something safe instead.

Are you ready to have the experience of a lifetime? Let's pair Venice as part of a complete immersion in Italy. Together we will create the perfect vacation, designed specifically for your interests and travel style.
